Vintage lace and silk Valentine card by renowned printer Joseph Mansell, who was well known from the 1830s to 1870s for his fine paper lace and embossed cards.
Approximately 5.5" by 4", front has an embossed flower design on foil paper lace, back has a Valentine poem printed on white silk, fringed by pink silk. Fringe worn, rear with some light staining, soiling & age toning, light tearing to the slits in the side, likely for inserting a personal sentiment.
