My Story

Hi! My name is Jacob! At the start of the COVID-19 Pandemic, I decided to take my passion for unique antiquarian books and turn my passion into a career. Five years later, White Owl Books has grown into a brick-and-mortar antiquarian bookstore in Pocatello.

While most of my business is still done online or via direct sales to clients, I am trying to grow my social media presence and expand to more areas where book lovers can be found! I offer 99 cent book auctions every Saturday through my eBay.

I try to offer competitive prices, but I encourage buyers to research before purchasing to find the best quality book for their budget. All of the books offered here are authentic vintage and antiquarian books, with very few modern reprints or facsimiles. If you have questions about the first edition points, publication info, or history of a book, I would be happy to answer to the best of my ability!

I take packaging very seriously and make sure all of my books are well-packed, with plenty of cushioning! Collation and additional photos are available upon request. If you are searching for a specific book or have questions about any of the books that are offered, please don't hesitate to reach out and let me know!

I am a bookseller located in Historic Downtown Pocatello, Idaho, though I am currently looking to add retail partners in the Idaho Falls, Jackson, Boise, and Salt Lake City areas.

A article featuring the store was recently written in the Idaho State Journal, highlighting a book printed by Benjamin Franklin (now sold).
