Vialibri is a search tool that aggregates current book listings from the ABAA, AbeBooks, Alibris, Amazon, Biblio, eBay, and more! This is generally better for books without an ISBN than those with an ISBN.
Free for basic search, premium subscription allows email notifications when new books are listed.

eBay's TeraPeak Research
Terapeak is a free research tool that allows eBay users to search sales histories for books (and other items) on their platform going back up to 3 years.

Bookfinder is a resource that aggregates current book listings from Abebooks, Alibris, Amazon, Biblio, eBay, and more! This website is generally better for books with an ISBN than those without.

Worthpoint is a paid subscription service that shows the sales history from eBay (and a couple of other private auction houses) going back over 15 years.

CamelCamelCamel is a free tool that tracks Amazon prices (on all items, not just books), and can send you a notification when a sales price goes below your target amount.

Rare Book Hub is one of the premier paid rare book sales history databases, with auction records going back over 100 years, a monthly publication, and a calendar of upcoming auctions.

Kosho is an excellent resource for the sales and listing prices of books in the Japanese language.
Other Resources
World Cat
A search engine that can be used to locate institutional copies of books. Good for finding publication information, and determining scarcity of titles.
English Short Title Catalogue
Finally back (thank goodness!) is this excellent bibliographical resource, containing one of the most comprehensive databases for English books post-1801.
Internet Archive
A digital library containing one of the largest collections of books, music, and other media available. An excellent resource for viewing the texts of scarce books, as well as a number of bibliographies.
DigiVatLib
Digital Archive of the Vatican Libraries
First Edition Points (FedPo)
FedPo is a resource for the identification of first editions. The website is no longer maintained, but still available as an archive.
NoCloo
NoCloo is a bookstore, art gallery, and museum, but maintains a large collection of first edition identification guides by well known authors including Winston Churchill, Agatha Christie, Ursula Le Guin, Philip K. Dick, and more.
